First appearance: Maya Goes Bad

Baoddai is a wise and powerful Redakai who serves as the trainer, guardian and mentor to young Ky Stax and his teammates Maya and Boomer. Baoddai guides his young students in their quest to collect Kairu, teaching them the ways of Kairu warriors. Baoddai’s greatest adversary is Lokar, an enemy with whom he shares a long and storied past. Baoddai is calm and serious with matters related to Kairu, but not without a sense of humor when it comes to his young warriors. His dedication to the Redakai, however, is unwavering, and he will stop at nothing to protect the Universe from Lokar and his nefarious ways.

Baoddai made his first appearance in Maya Goes Bad. He was summoned by Ky Stax and Boomer as a hologram when Maya turned to evil. He warned them to help Maya before it was too late. He then sensed Kairu energy in the Middle East and Team Stax headed their immediately. Then, he disappeared saying that Lokar will not give up on Maya easily.

He made his first physical appearance in The Kairu Diary. The team was trying to figure out what to get him for his birthday tomorrow. When the Team receives a signal from Alaska, Baoddai forbids the team from going but they don't listen. After lecturing Ky when he got back, he was glad that Ky found out about his father's whereabouts and was glad he was back. Later, Mookee shows his birthday surprise to Baoddai and he was laughing (commented by Ky that was a first) with the rest of the team.

He also appeared in Black Kairu Gold Metanoid.

  • Apparently, Master Boaddai does not laugh much as Ky stated when he was laughing at Mookee's dance.
  • It was stated by Lokar that he knew that Lokar was Maya's grandfather.
